With a passion for learning & teaching, in a fun & interactive environment, my passion for France, teaching & travel became one!

My name is Isabelle & I am a lifelong lover of France, its language, & the culture. For over 30 years, I’ve been sharing my passion as a French teacher, inspiring students to fall in love with the language—and now, I want to share France with you!

I created France Not Like a Tourist to share the real France, beyond the usual landmarks and crowded tourist streets. My goal? To show you France as locals know it: tucked-away cafés, hidden gardens, intimate galleries, charming bars, and neighbourhoods brimming with life and stories.

The journeys include intimate groups of up to 8 people, so every experience is personal, interactive, and full of connection. This is your chance to meet French people, practice your French in real-life settings, and immerse yourself in the culture in a way that goes far beyond guidebooks.
